The Personal Care Aide (PCA) program at REACH Centers is intended for anyone wishing to become a safe and competent caregiver in the home. The course is designed for anyone over the age of 18 with or without a high school diploma or GED to learn basic principles of caring for another person in the home. Pre-requisites include:
1. Must be 18 years old.
2. Have transportation to and from the class.
Opportunities for employment: Private duty caregiver, In-Home Supportive Services worker, caregiver at a Home Health Company, Hospice or Assisted Living Facility. Institutions may require a clear background check, Driver's License, valid SS card, CPR and/or First Aide and transportation for employment.
Location: Fontana Adult School
The Class is taught in English only. The goal of the program is to gain employment by the end of the program. Students must attend all hours of the program.
