This course is designed to learn to identify regular and irregular heartbeats and understand telemetry monitoring for cardiovascular problems.
Topics include: how to interpret the basic components of a telemetry strip, anatomy and physiology of the heart and differentiating rhythms originating in all areas of the heart.
The course includes the book, workbook, calipers, ID badge, 18 hours of theory and 16 hours of externship in a hospital setting with a monitor technician. This class is recommended for CNA’s, ACNA’s, LVN’s and RN’s. Successful completion of the course awards 18 BRN approved CE’s for renewal to LVNs and RNs.
